Kate Valleroy of Red Anvil and Buffalo Blue are teaming up at 2718 Sutton in Maplewood (in the old O’Malley’s Irish Gifts space). You can expect to see original designs from Kate and Allyson like always but lots of cool new stuff too! Look for fresh floral designs for Weddings and flowers to make everyday happy, handmade couture Wedding accessories and select Wedding attire and handmade Women’s clothing as well as a variety of handmade gifts and fun miscellany to fit any budget– in other words a wide array of AWESOME!
We’ll also be accepting some select consignment, so if you’re a crafty person with something to add to the mix– give us a shout! More info about that soon…

We spent the weekend after Thanksgiving at Renegade’s First Annual Holiday Craft Show in Austin TX.
Before heading for Texas, we enjoyed the Holiday at my parents’ two hours from St. Louis and did our best to eat as much as we could hold. Tom especially enjoyed his dessert- he tried every one!
We headed out- Austin or Bust- on Black Friday, and at just over 13 hours of driving, it was out longest road trip for a show to date!
But, since we LOVE Austin, we made it a mini vacation too. We hit some of our favorite restaurants and shops- including Trudy’s Tex-Mex, Maria’s Taco Express and IKEA (because it was on the way home).
The show itself was fantastic- the crowd was warm and welcoming and while not as large as many Renegade crowds, we were very happy with the weekend as a whole and overjoyed to be included. YAY! RENEGADE!
Felicia Koloc of Let’s Be Friends was also there– we traded it up and made off with a bunch of her little stuffed friends perfect for Holiday gifts. She left with one of our new Smithe collars decorated in vintage chain– great choice, girl! (picture is borrowed from her instagram– you should follow her).
We also made some new friends, Tim of Nakatomi Inc was our booth neighbor and his posters rock- I especially enjoyed his hand drawn Wes Anderson prints. Zissou, Tennebaum, Oh! Brother Where Art Thou, and more!
And then there was Kate Thomas of Little Things Studio– her inspirational prints and artwork ROCK (and so does she. A lot). We were so happy to meet her! We traded with her for some of our favorites–again perfect for gifts- and she went home with my favorite plaid wool Prudence collar. Great to know it has a good home!

We made the long drive back home on Monday morning and stopped to pick up our pups and spent the night at my parents, still a couple of hours from home. Tuesday we trekked back to St. Louis and began the somewhat arduous task of unpacking the car and several loads of dirty laundry from the car.
